Police have issued a warning about a suspicious vehicle seen in Northallerton.
Over the last ten days a white Iveco drop-side lorry has been spotted acting suspiciously around industrial estates in the town.
A police spokesperson said: “Please be cautious of any requests to remove scrap items from both commercial and residential properties.
“If you see any suspicious activity call North Yorkshire Police on 101 or in an emergency always dial 999.”
