A new leadership team has taken the reins at the Rotary Club of Northallerton Mowbray.

Anne Wall has been installed as president, taking over from Janet Crampton.

Malcolm Warne is this year’s president-elect, Janet Crampton resumes her role as secretary after her presidential year and Tony Wood remains the club treasurer.

At the club’s annual handover meeting, Anne outlined her priorities for the year. These included a focus on youth, working with local schools and asking more young people to speak to the club at its weekly meeting.

Anne said the club would also work with other local Rotary Clubs in the northern North Yorkshire area to raise money for Herriot Hospice Homecare.

Internationally, Anne said she was looking to support a project in Ghana to provide clean water for schools and hospitals.

Anne thanked Janet Crampton for all her hard work during her presidency, describing it as a very memorable year.

Janet is to head up a new member drive. The club celebrates its 25 year in 2019 and has a target of increasing membership by 25 per cent.

The Rotary Club of Northallerton Mowbray meets every Monday evening at the Allerton Court Hotel, Darlington Road, Northallerton, at 7 for 7.30pm. Prospective new members should contact the club by emailing secretary@northallertonmowbray.rotary1040.org
