Hambleton’s Civic Centre is turning red.

Hambleton’s Civic Centre has turned red as the district council shows its support for Remembrance Day.

The authority’s headquarters is lighting up the building to honour the service and sacrifice, friendship and collaboration of the men and women of Britain, the Commonwealth and Allied nations who fought together.

A huge poppy will shine across the building every evening until 12 November.

The council will also respect the two minutes silence at its buildings on Monday (11 November).
