Thieves remove window during break-in attempt

Potential thieves attempted to break into a garage in a moors village by removing a window last night.

North Yorkshire Police say the incident happened in Chop Gate near Stokesley at 10.50pm on Thursday, December 13. The offenders attempted to get into the detached garage by removing a window before being “spooked by the alarm”.

It is thought they escaped by heading towards Raisdale.

Today police have received information of two quad bikes and a chainsaw stolen from nearby Raisdale and damage to a Land Rover.
