Police reassure public after suspicious person spotted in Northallerton garden

South Parade, Northallerton.

Police have reassured the public after a suspicious person was seen in a Northallerton garden.

At about 2.30pm on Monday police received a report of a suspicious male entering someone’s garden at the rear of a property on South Parade.

A spokesperson for North Yorkshire Police said: “We would like to reassure the community that we are working to identify the person responsible and would appeal to anyone who was in the area and noticed anything suspicious to contact the Police.

Your information will be looked at thoroughly and could really help our enquiries.

“We urge you to be vigilant, make sure your doors are locked and to check your garden and outbuildings.”
