Police want information after a woman was hit by a vehicle which failed to stop in Northallerton.
The incident happened around 4.20pm on Monday when a 65-year-old woman was crossing the road from the direction of MW Darwin & Sons on South Parade, Northallerton, towards Shine Hair and Beauty on Thirsk Road.
The woman was struck on her right side by a vehicle, causing her to fall onto the ground and the vehicle is then believed to have left the scene towards East Road.
The woman sustained minor injuries and attended the Friarage Hospital for treatment.
North Yorkshire Police is appealing for information, anyone who may have witnessed the assault or any CCTV from local premises to help us establish the full circumstances of this incident.
