Police say there will be extra speed cameras on roads in North Yorkshire today.
North Yorkshire Police says its mobile cameras will be on many of the main roads in the Thirsk, Ripon, Harrogate and Boroughbridge areas.
These include the A1(M), the A19, A61, A168 and A170, as well as local towns and villages.
A spokesperson for North Yorkshire Police said: “A higher than normal number of safety cameras will be deployed to roads and communities in the Thirsk, Ripon, Harrogate and Boroughbridge areas today.
“Expect to see these vehicles on the A1(M), A170, A61, A168, A19 as well as in local towns a villages.
“This is a planned operation to keep our roads safe in those areas, these vehicles can and do detect many traffic offences so please drive safe, stay safe and arrive safe.”
