Police are appealing for information after a car was stolen during a burglary in Great Ayton.
The incident happened at an address on Wheatlands at around 3.15am.
North Yorkshire Police said a white Seat Arona, registration YC18 BDN, was stolen during the burglary.
The vehicle subsequently made off from police and was last seen in the Fulbeck Road area of Middlesbrough.
Officers say they are aware of other related incidents in the Great Ayton area and are urging residents to take extra precautions to protect their homes and vehicles.
Police have advised people to ensure valuables are locked away, homes and vehicles are secure and car keys are kept in a safe place.
An appeal has now been issued for anyone who witnessed suspicious activity or has CCTV or dashcam footage which could assist the investigation.
