Firefighters spent five hours battling a fire caused by a disposable barbecue.
Three North Yorkshire crews and one from Cleveland were called to the incident yesterday near Great Ayton.
North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service group manager Bob Hoskins said the fire spread to an area of grass land and proved difficult to access by fire crews who spent five hours at the incident.
Tweeting photos of the barbecue next to the burn out grassland, he added on Twitter: “Can you use you fire Investigator skills to work out the cause?”
