Four women were recued from a car stuck in floodwater this morning.
Firefighters from Northallerton, Bedale and Richmond were called to the incident at Morton-on-Swale at about 2.40am.

Crews assisted all four occupants out of the floodwater using water rescue equipment.
An ambulance crew was also in attendance.
The road remains closed this evening due to the floodwater caused by Storm Babet.
