Two people have been arrested after a man was attacked.
Police say they were called just after 11pm on Monday to reports of a man having been attacked at his home address in Brompton near Northallerton.
Officers attended two addresses in Northallerton last night and arrested a 32-year-old man on suspicion of wounding with intent and possession of an offensive weapon.
A 52-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to cause grievous bodily harm with intent.
The man and woman are currently in police custody.
