Thirsk nurses get doughnuts as pandemic thank you

Hambleton Grange care home has thanked nurses in the area by taking trays of tasty doughnuts to local GP surgeries.

The home in Station Road, Thirsk, wanted to thank the nursing community for their contributions during the pandemic.

Visiting Thirsk Doctors Surgery and Lambert Medical Centre, the care home’s lifestyle manager, Elaine Snowden, expressed Hambleton Grange’s gratitude to the front-line heroes for going the extra mile to deliver the best care to the public.

District nurse, Michele Rollin, accepted some of the treats on behalf of Thirsk Doctors Surgery.

She said: “This is such a kind gesture from Hambleton Grange, I’m sure everyone in the surgery will be very happy.

“It’s a pleasure to work with Hambleton Grange, the care they give to their residents is exceptional. Thank you.”

The care manager at Hambleton Grange, Louise Walker, said: “We would like to thank each and every one of the Nurses who support us here at Hambleton Grange.

“The entire Nursing Team go out of their way to support us and our residents, with no job being too big or too small for them.

“They all do such an amazing job.”
