The front garden at Snape Community Primary School has been transformed thanks to the kindness of a local gardening group.
Volunteers from Snape Gardening Club, led by John Knopp and David Milner, approached the school back in 2018 to offer their help with developing the garden.
The children have worked hard to come up with a creative design which the gardeners have brought to life.
There is a vegetable patch where the children have already started growing their own produce, flowerbeds, a stream complete with footbridge, a bug hotel for creepy-crawlie visitors, and a peaceful seating area for staff, parents and passers-by.
The school said it was extremely grateful for the efforts of the volunteers and the children were thrilled to see the final result.
Gracie said: “I like looking after the bees in the bug hotel because they help the flowers grow and give us honey.”
Lizzie added: “I can’t wait to eat the vegetables we are growing.
“I love the colourful flowers; they make the school look pretty.”
Harriet added: “The bug hotel is my favourite part – it keeps the bugs safe.”
