Police renew appeal to trace Porsche driver after Romanby hit-and-run

Police have renewed their appeal for the driver involved in a hit and run that occurred that left a 13-year-old boy with head and back injuries.

The incident happened in the Castle Hills area of Yafforth Road, Romanby at around 7pm on Sunday, August 30.

A 13-year-old boy was knocked off his bike.

The driver failed to stop.

The boy received severe grazing to his back, concussion, and a bruised elbow.

He was taken to James Cook Hospital by ambulance where he was treated and discharged following treatment.

A police spokesperson said: “We are urging the driver involved in the incident to come forward.

“We are also requesting the public’s assistance to help establish the full circumstances surrounding the incident.

“In particular, we are appealing for information about a white Porsche which was captured on CCTV in the area at the time.”
