Man comes forward after Stokesley dog bite incident

Police say a man has come forward after they have issued CCTV image of a person they would like to speak to following an incident of a dog biting a shop customer in Stokesley on Boxing Day.

The incident occurred in the morning of Tuesday, December in the Co-op on the High Street.

A customer in the store was bitten by another customer’s dog, causing injury which required hospital treatment.

Officers asked the man in the CCTV image to get in touch, and members of the public to get in touch if they recognise him, as they believe he will have information that will help the investigation.

A spokesperson for North Yorkshire Police said: “A man who police wanted to speak to about a dog biting incident in Stokesley has come forward as a result of a CCTV appeal.

“Officers would like to thank everyone who shared the appeal and provided information.”
