Police in Bedale are examining CCTV footage after vandalism in the town’s park.
Damage was caused to a tree planted last year.
Painted stones which formed part of a thank you to the NHS were also thrown into the road.
The damage occurred between 5.30pm on Friday and 7am on Saturday.
Police say they are investigating and are looking at CCTV footage.
Neighbourhood officers in the town say they are disappointed by the resurgence of this type of anti-social behaviour since the easing of restrictions.
