North Yorkshire Police is appealing for witnesses and dashcam footage following a collision involving a pedestrian in Easingwold.
The incident happened at around 4pm on Thursday, May 14, on Chapel Street and involved a small silver motor car and a pedestrian.
Police said the vehicle collided with the pedestrian before the driver stopped briefly to offer assistance.
However, officers say the driver then left the scene without providing any personal or vehicle details.
Investigators are now keen to speak to anyone who witnessed the collision, saw the silver vehicle in the area beforehand, or may have relevant dashcam footage.
