Police are appealing for witnesses following a report of an assault in Northallerton.
Officers were called to an incident outside Northallerton Grammar School, in East Road, at around 11am on Monday, January 20.
The incident involved two women in their 30s.
One of the women was assessed by Yorkshire Ambulance Service crews at the scene and later sought advice from a local hospital.
A spokesperson for North Yorkshire Police said: “We are requesting the public’s assistance to help establish the full circumstances surrounding the incident.
“In particular, we are appealing for information from those in passing vehicles who may have witnessed the incident or caught it on their in-car video systems.”
