A new inclusive sports club has been set up in Stokesley with the help of North Yorkshire Sport’s Satellite Club grants scheme.

Run by Hambleton District Council the weekly boccia sessions which are based on bowling, will take place at the Methodist Church Hall in Stokesley.

The sessions are open to people of all ages and abilities and are not only fun but a great way to socialise and make friends.

Taster sessions have proven to be extremely popular and shown that there is a need for such activities within the local area.

And for those looking for something a bit more competitive the sessions also provide a pathway into boccia competitions both regionally and nationally.

The new club starts on Thursday 4 April from 5.30pm to 6.30pm and cost £3 per person.

For more information contact Joe McKechnie, inclusive sport officer, at joe.mckechnie@hambleton.gov.uk or 01609 767261.
