And Great Ayton’s celebrations start with Christmas carols on High Green on December 17 followed by their Santa sleigh run on December 23.

“It’s great to see so many hardworking businesses, community groups and individuals coming together to organise different events around the district,” said Councillor Peter Wilkinson, deputy leader and portfolio holder for Economic Development and Finance.

“Hambleton is home to a variety of independent shops and traditional markets making it an ideal place for Christmas shopping. Please shop locally and show your support.”

Shoppers and visitors can take advantage of free off-street parking in all district council car parks every Thursday in December and every day from December 25 to January 1– parking time restrictions still apply.
