More than 700 people have already signed up for this year’s Northallerton 10k.

This year’s race will be held on Sunday, May 26 at 11am.

700 entrants are already confirmed for this year’s race, with only 300 places left.

Simon Bailes Peugeot has signed up at the event’s main sponsor for a fourth consecutive year.

All entrance fees and monies raised over the course of the event will go towards the Pendragon Community Trust, supporting its multi-sensory centre based in Northallerton.

The specialist centre provides a wonderful range of sensory experiences as well as therapeutic and developmental opportunities.

David Kerfoot, chairman and trustee of the Pendragon Community Trust, said: “Pendragon is making amazing progress as a new community facility which is being utilised by clients from across the region.

“It really is a very special place and we are constantly impressed by feedback from users about our unique Sensory Centre.

“The Northallerton 10k Run not only gives a huge boost to our funding effort but also provides a great deal of fun for the local community.”

Race organiser Thomas Kerfoot said: “The Northallerton 10k is now into its fourth year, and each year we have outsold our previous years quota.

“The reaction from returning runners has been so positive, it has only filled us with confidence this wonderful community event is here to stay.

“The ongoing support from local businesses like Simon Bailes Peugeot and the Northallerton community never ceases to amaze us.

“It’s encouraging to see so many people want to be involved and we are thrilled to attract more people year on year. The atmosphere on the day is always very positive with runners supporting each other, and great crowds cheering throughout the course.”

Simon Bailes, of Simon Bailes Peugeot, said: “We are delighted to be supporting the Northallerton 10k for the fourth consecutive year, and I am proud to have been involved with this fantastic community event since it was formed.

“The Pendragon Community Trust and Multi-Sensory Centre do so much for individuals who are experiencing difficulties in their lives and through the trust they are able to access pioneering equipment and care from professionals.”
