Hambleton students at Queen Elizabeth Sixth Form College in Darlington have celebrated their excellent A Level results.
Poppy Stokes, from Northallerton, achieved 4 A* grades in biology, chemistry, maths and extended project and she will study biochemistry at Oxford University in the autumn.
Amy Riordan, also from Northallerton, was awarded 3 A* grades in film studies, politics and sociology and she will study human, social and political sciences at Cambridge University.
Lorna Kirby, from Streetlam, was awarded 3 A* grades in chemistry, maths and extended project and an A grade in biology, and will study biomedical science at Newcastle University.
Tim Fisher, principal at QE, said: “We’re so proud of all of our students for the remarkable resilience they’ve shown over the past few years, both during and after the pandemic. We’re delighted with how hard they’ve worked, and I know there will be many happy students collecting their results today and looking forward to the next exciting chapter in their lives. We wish them every success.”
QE is one of the largest A Level centres in the north and provides an exceptional education for teenagers across North Yorkshire and the North East.
