Firefighters called after build up of gas in oven

One person was treated by paramedics after a build up of gas in an oven in a commercial premises today.

The incident happened in Northallerton about 9.30am on Monday morning.

A spokesperson for North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service said: “A crew from Northallerton responded to a build up of gas inside the oven of a commercial building that had flashed over.

“The gas was isolated prior to fire crews arrival and a gas engineer was contacted after the crews carried out an inspection.

“One person was left in the care of paramedics.”
