A driver was taken to hospital after a single-vehicle crash on the A1(M) near Leeming Bar in the early hours of this morning.
Fire crews from Richmond, Northallerton and Bedale were called to the incident at 3.45am.
When firefighters arrived, the driver had already managed to get out of the vehicle and was being treated at the scene by the ambulance service.
The casualty was later taken to hospital by road ambulance.
North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service said no action was required by firefighters at the scene.
