Fire crews were called to a property in Sowerby late on Monday night after a charger caught fire and burned part of a carpet.
Crews from North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service stations in Thirsk and Northallerton were mobilised to the incident at 11.12pm.
Firefighters found that a charger had caught fire, causing damage to a section of carpet inside the property.
Crews carried out safety checks at the scene using a thermal imaging camera to ensure there was no remaining heat or risk of further fire spread.
No injuries were reported.
