An Aiskew man has been fined after admitting assaulting two men in separate incidents in Leeming Bar and Bedale.
Edward Gibb, 46, of Sycamore Avenue, Aiskew, appeared at York Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday.
He pleaded guilty to two charges of assault by beating.
The first offence took place at Leeming Bar on April 7, 2026, when Gibb assaulted a named man.
Nine days later, on April 16, Gibb assaulted another man in Bedale.
Magistrates fined Gibb £400 for each offence, with his guilty pleas taken into account.
He was also ordered to pay £150 compensation in relation to each assault, making a total of £300 compensation.
In relation to the Leeming Bar offence, the court also ordered Gibb to pay £85 prosecution costs and a £320 victim surcharge.
A collection order was made, with Gibb ordered to pay the money in weekly instalments of £50 from October 13.
