Police are appealing for witnesses after a cyclist was seriously injured in an incident involving a tractor near Great Busby.
The incident happened at about 12.30pm on Sunday, August 2, on Busby Lane.
North Yorkshire Police said two cyclists were travelling along the road from the direction of the A172 towards Great Busby when they encountered what has been described as an orange tractor travelling in the opposite direction.
One of the cyclists took evasive action and came off their bike.
The cyclist suffered serious but not life-threatening injuries.
One of the bikes involved was a blue Basso carbon fibre pedal cycle.
Officers from North Yorkshire Police’s Roads Policing Unit are now appealing for witnesses as they attempt to identify the tractor involved.
They would particularly like to hear from anyone who witnessed the incident or has dash-cam footage which could assist the investigation.
