North Yorkshire Police have thanked the public after a wanted man from Thirsk was located and arrested as a direct result of an appeal issued earlier this week.
Officers had been searching for 31-year-old Aaron Telford, who was wanted for breaching safeguarding conditions imposed by a court after allegedly making a series of threats against another person.
Following the appeal, police received crucial information from members of the public — leading to Telford being found and taken into custody.
In an update, a spokesperson said: “Thank you for your support, as always. It really does make a difference.”
Police had initially urged anyone with sightings or information to come forward, and the swift response from the community helped bring the search to a close.
