Stolen motorbikes have been returned to their rightful owners following a joint police operation targeting cross-border crime.
Officers from the North Yorkshire Police Stokesley Neighbourhood Policing Team worked alongside the force’s Rural Taskforce and colleagues from Cleveland Police to carry out the seizures.
Two of the bikes were confirmed to have been stolen from Whitby and Osmotherley. Both have now been successfully returned to their owners.
On the same day, officers also seized a vehicle in the Grangetown area, which is believed to have been linked to rural crime affecting communities in North Yorkshire.
Police say the operation highlights the importance of close working relationships between neighbouring forces in tackling offenders who operate across county borders.
A spokesperson said efforts to disrupt so-called “cross-border” criminality will continue, with officers committed to recovering stolen property and protecting rural communities.
