Fire crews from Northallerton were called to a residential property on Ainderby Road in Romanby at 9.06pm on Thursday.
The incident involved a toaster fire within the property.
The fire was already out when crews arrived at the scene.
Firefighters used a thermal imaging camera to carry out checks for any remaining hotspots and to ensure the area was safe. No further fire spread was found.
