Emergency services are currently at the scene of a serious collision on the A168 in the Dishforth and Boroughbridge area.
The crash, which involved two vehicles, happened at around 7.15am today.
As a result, the A168 is closed between the Kirby Hill roundabout and the Leeming Lane roundabout.
Police say the closures will remain in place until further notice, and drivers are being urged to avoid the area and follow diversions.
Witnesses to the incident are asked to call North Yorkshire Police on 101, quoting reference NYP-19092025-0076.
