A rescue operation took place last night after a person fell from a bridge.
The incident happened at a bridge on the A684 over the River Swale at Morton-on-Swale.
Members of Swaledale Mountain Rescue Team (SMRT) were called to the scene by the ambulance service.
The casualty was treated on scene by the ambulance crew and SMRT medics, with help from the police.
They were then evacuated by stretcher to a road ambulance
