
Two local RAF cadet groups will play a charity football match next month.
RAF Cadets from 2040 (Richmond) Squadron are to host a charity football match to raise funds for the Yorkshire Air Ambulance.
They will take on 2040 Squadron take on 2337 (Northallerton) Squadron.
FS Meg Hall said: “ Join us in making a difference through our RAFAC charity football match, proudly raising funds for the Yorkshire Air Ambulance (YAA).
“This event brings together cadets, volunteers, and supporters of the Royal Air Force Air Cadets, embodying the core values of respect, integrity, service and excellence that lie at the heart of our training syllabus”.
“The Yorkshire Air Ambulance is a life-saving rapid response emergency service 365 days a year to 5 million people across 4 million acres of Yorkshire. It’s a cause close to our hearts, and through the camaraderie and determination of our players, we aim to show the true power of coming together for a shared purpose.
“This match isn’t just about football – it’s about celebrating the resilience, unity, and dedication of ourRAFAC community while giving back to those who work tirelessly to save lives. The event will take place at 11am on Sunday, June 2 at Richmond School.
There will be a bake sale and a great atmosphere. Please come along to support our young people and the Yorkshire Air Ambulance.
