Police are urging residents to stay vigilant after reports of a person trying vehicle door handles in Crakehall and Hackforth during the early hours of Sunday, October 12.
The incidents were reported at around 4.17am in Crakehall and 5.20am in Hackforth.
Officers from the Bedale Neighbourhood Patrol Team are asking anyone with CCTV footage from these areas to review it and contact police on 101, quoting reference 12250192902.
Anyone who witnesses suspicious activity or has concerns should call 101, or 999 in an emergency.
