Police are appealing for witnesses and dashcam footage following a serious pedestrian collision in Great Ayton.
The incident occurred between 1.15pm and 1.30pm on Wednesday, December 17, 2025, outside Coopers Chemists on the High Street.
It involved a black Volvo XC60 SUV and a man in his early 80s.
The pedestrian was taken to hospital with serious injuries and was discharged five days later after receiving treatment.
North Yorkshire Police are asking anyone who witnessed the collision, saw the vehicle prior to the incident, or has relevant dashcam footage from the area at the time to come forward.
