Police are appealing for witnesses and dashcam footage following a single-vehicle collision on the A1(M) near Leeming Bar on New Year’s Day.
The collision happened at around 7.15am on Thursday, January 1, on the southbound carriageway, and involved a white Hyundai i20 hatchback.
All four occupants of the vehicle were taken to hospital by ambulance for assessment.
One passenger, a woman in her 20s, suffered a serious hand injury.
Police say all four people are currently in a stable condition.
Lane one of the motorway was closed for a period to allow emergency services to work safely at the scene and to recover the vehicle.
North Yorkshire Police are now appealing to anyone who witnessed the collision, saw the Hyundai prior to the incident, or has relevant dashcam footage to come forward.
