Police are appealing for information after damage was caused to the famous White Horse at Kilburn.
A St George’s flag has appeared on the landmark.
It is not yet known if the flag is painted on or a flag has been placed on the horse.
The incident was reported to North Yorkshire Police shortly after 2pm today.
A police spokesperson said: “If anyone has information about the damage, please call North Yorkshire Police on 101 and provide reference NYP-09092025-0267.”
