Polar Express returns to Wensleydale Railway this Christmas

The magic of Christmas is returning to the Yorkshire Dales as PNP Events Ltd and Wensleydale Railway once again host The Polar Express™ Train Ride from Leeming Bar Station.

Running from Friday 14 November to Tuesday 23 December, this festive favourite is inspired by Chris Van Allsburg’s beloved book The Polar Express and the much-loved 2004 Warner Bros film starring Tom Hanks.

The immersive theatrical experience invites families to don their pyjamas, grab their golden tickets, and step aboard a train bound for the North Pole.

Passengers can expect festive cheer, singing chefs, dancing conductors, and a special visit from Father Christmas himself — bringing to life the magic of believing.

Nick Keegan, marketing and fundraising manager at Wensleydale Railway, said: “This is the sixth year that Wensleydale Railway has hosted The Polar Express™ Train Ride. Over 50,000 guests joined us in 2024, making it one of the largest Christmas experiences in the UK.

“Families are booking fast, and many dates have already sold out. Don’t miss your chance — create your family’s most magical Christmas memories aboard The Polar Express.”

The Wensleydale Railway event is the longest-established officially licensed Polar Express™ Train Ride in Yorkshire, having delighted more than 250,000 visitors since its launch in 2019.
