Paintings, sculpture, ceramics and more will go on display at a major celebration of North Yorkshire artistic talent in the heart of the North York Moors National Park this February.

Hundreds of artists from across the county will be exhibiting their work at the Inspired By… gallery inside Danby Lodge National Park Centre, as part of a Spring Showcase organised by North Yorkshire Open Studios (NYOS).

The exhibition will run from February 14 to May 10.

The exhibition will not only give visitors the chance to enjoy a wide range of artwork in a peaceful countryside setting, but will also offer a preview of what to expect during NYOS’ Summer Open Studios weekends, when more than 200 artists will open their studios to the public across 3,000 square miles of North Yorkshire.

Garth Bayley, project manager at NYOS, said: “This exhibition is a vibrant celebration of the sheer breadth of talent we have here in North Yorkshire. By bringing together the work of hundreds of our members in the heart of the National Park, we’re offering a unique window into the county’s creative soul. It’s the perfect setting to stop and appreciate the work of the incredible artists who make our community so special.”

Rhian Roberts, engagement officer for arts and culture at the North York Moors National Park, said the park was delighted to host the largest NYOS showcase to date.

“From painters to ceramicists to printmakers, this exhibition proves that North Yorkshire is bursting with creativity down every country lane and town street,” she said.

“So many of the participating artists are influenced by the natural environment around the Inspired By… gallery, so having the spring showcase here in 2026 feels integral to North Yorkshire’s cultural heritage.”

The Spring Showcase marks the first event in NYOS’ busy 2026 programme, which also includes exhibitions in Skipton and Ampleforth, Summer Open Studios weekends in June, and Winter Open Studios in November.

Mr Bayley added: “NYOS is dedicated to championing the exceptional artistic richness of our region. Our 2026 programme features members selected by an independent panel of curators, providing an unmissable opportunity to celebrate and acquire high-quality work created right here in North Yorkshire.”
