Hambleton Grange Care Home in Thirsk has celebrated the season with its annual Harvest Festival, welcoming residents, families, friends and members of the local community.

The event was marked by generosity and community spirit, with a large collection of non-perishable food items donated by colleagues, relatives and local residents. #

The donations were displayed at St Mary’s Church for its Harvest Service before being passed on to Thirsk Food Bank and Community Works, helping those most in need across the area.

Residents, families and friends gathered for the Harvest Service, where many took Holy Communion. Staff said the presence of loved ones made the atmosphere particularly special.

The care home, which is part of HC-One, has also enjoyed a busy programme of summer activities, and the team is now embracing autumn traditions.

Home manager Sandra Anderson said: “Hambleton Grange is not just a care home; it’s a community. Our events, from summer celebrations to autumn festivals, allow residents to enjoy the seasons and connect with their neighbours, while giving back to the wider community.”
