Police are appealing for witnesses following a serious road traffic collision at a junction near Northallerton.
The incident occurred at around 6.30pm on Thursday, April 9, at the junction of the A167 Darlington Road and the B1263.
It involved a Honda CB500 motorcycle travelling north-west along the A167 and a grey VW Polo, which was turning right onto the A167 from the B1263.
Both the rider and pillion passenger on the motorcycle suffered life-threatening injuries and remain in hospital.
The two occupants of the VW Polo were also injured and taken to hospital for treatment, with one person still receiving care.
The road was closed for several hours following the collision to allow for investigation work and vehicle recovery.
Officers are now urging anyone who witnessed the incident, or who may have dashcam footage from the area around the time of the collision, to come forward.
