Four arrested after report of burglary in Northallerton

Four people were arrested last night after a report of a burglary in Northallerton.

The incident happened in the town’s Finkhills Way.

Police say four suspects, who had travelled from Doncaster in vehicles displaying cloned plates, were located and arrested thanks to teamwork between the control room, operations support and response teams.

The incident comes a day after three people were arrested on suspicion of coming to the town to steal bikes.

A North Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: “This is now seven people arrested in two days who have travelled to North Yorkshire to commit crime.

“This is a clear message: if you come to North Yorkshire to commit crime, expect to be caught.

“Our commitment to keeping our communities safe is stronger than ever. We thank the public for their continued vigilance and support.”
