Firefighters were called to a park bench on fire in Bedale last night.
The incident was reported at about 11.25pm.
A fire crew from Bedale responded to the blaze.
They used a hose reel jet to extinguish the bench and also a nearby bin.
The cause was believed to be deliberate.
