A drink driving suspect has been arrested after a member of the public spotted a pickup truck being driven while missing two tyres.
Police received a report yesterday afternoon from a member of the public who spotted a vehicle being driven after suffering significant damage in a crash near Bedale.
North Yorkshire Police officers were deployed and quickly located the vehicle parked on a driveway in the Northallerton area, with a man sitting inside.
He failed a roadside breath test and was arrested on suspicion of drink driving and driving a vehicle in a dangerous condition.
The suspect remains in custody while enquiries continue.
