Croft Circuit will stage the first official pre-season test of the 2026 Kwik Fit British Touring Car Championship later this month.
Teams and drivers from the UK’s premier motor racing series will converge on the North Yorkshire track on Tuesday, March 24 and Wednesday, March 25, for two full days of on-track action ahead of the new campaign.
The test marks the opening running of what is expected to be a hotly anticipated BTCC season, with both new and familiar faces set to appear alongside the latest machinery and fresh liveries. Fans will be able to attend both days free of charge, although admission is by ticket only and must be booked in advance via the Croft Circuit website.
Renowned for its fast, flowing and technical layout, Croft is regarded as an ideal early-season proving ground as teams fine-tune their cars before the opening rounds of the championship at Donington Park in April.
The day before the BTCC test, on Monday, March 23, the circuit will host the official launch and only pre-season test day for the 2026 MINI CHALLENGE and MINI CHALLENGE Trophy. The event will offer fans the first opportunity to see teams and drivers preparing for one of the country’s most fiercely contested one-make championships. Entry is also free, with tickets required in advance.
Refreshments will be available throughout the three days from the Hangar 50 Café, which will be open serving food and drinks.
The test days mark the start of a busy 2026 season at Croft, which will host ten events between April and November, featuring racing on two, three and four wheels.
Highlights include the annual BTCC race meeting on September 5 and 6, alongside fixtures for the 750 Motor Club, Ginetta Fest, BARC TCR & Caterham and the Darlington & District Motor Club’s Battle of Britain meeting. The season will conclude with the Christmas Stages Rally on November 29.
