A crew from Bedale Fire Station responded to reports of smoke within a property in the town’s Bridge Street.
The incident was reported at 2.23am this morning.
On arrival, the smoke was found to be caused by cooking fumes.
Crews ventilated the property and provided safety advice to the occupant.
