Police have secured a closure order today for a house in Northallerton due to anti-social behaviour.
The order issued by York Magistrates’ Court restricts access to a property in Oak Grove to “ensure the safety and well-being of the local community”.
Police say the order, effective for three months, will prevent any unlawful activities from taking place, addressing ongoing anti-social behaviour and criminal activity in the area.
A spokesperson for North Yorkshire Police said: “We are committed to ensuring public safety and tackling crime in our communities.”
The property remains off-limits unless with prior permission and breaching the order is a criminal offence.
Police say the closure has been granted with the assistance of Broadacres Housing Association.
