Emergency services were called to a property fire in Sowerby on Saturday morning.
Crews from Thirsk, Northallerton and Ripon attended the incident at 11.09am following reports of a fire at a property.
Firefighters gained entry to the building and successfully rescued a casualty from inside.
They then worked to bring the blaze under control using four breathing apparatus, a hose reel jet and a thermal imaging camera.
The casualty was treated at the scene by emergency services before being taken to hospital for further treatment.
