Firefighters were called to a moorland fire near Great Ayton on Tuesday afternoon.
A crew from Thirsk responded to the incident at about 1.25pm alongside crews from Cleveland Fire Brigade.
An Argocat all-terrain vehicle from Kirbymoorside was also sent to the scene to assist firefighters.
The fire, which measured about five metres by three metres, had largely burnt itself out by the time crews arrived but was still smouldering.
Firefighters fully extinguished the remaining fire before leaving the scene.
