Emergency services were called to a late-night crash after a car struck a bridge before ending up in a beck near Northallerton.
North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service was called to the incident at Thornton-le-Beans at 12.17am on Saturday.
Firefighters from Northallerton attended after a vehicle collided with a bridge and crashed into the water.
The occupant had managed to get out of the vehicle before crews arrived and was already in the care of police.
Firefighters secured the scene to ensure it was safe before handing the incident over to officers.
North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service said: “Northallerton responded to a vehicle which had impacted a bridge and crashed into a beck. The occupant was confirmed out of the vehicle prior to fire crews’ arrival and in the hands of police. Crews provided scene safety before they left the incident in the hands of police.”
No further details about the cause of the collision or whether anyone was injured have been released.
